Ward 10 demarcation update

2015-08-11 06:01

IN the latest draft revision of the municipal demarcation boards (MDB) ward boundary demarcations that will take effect after the 2016 elections, it appears as though they have reversed their previous decision as the map indicates they have reverted back to the current boundary demarcation for Ward 10.

and#034;Although I only found out about this draft on 29 September, it was finalised on 17 September with a two-week period for objections,” said Ward 10 councillor Rick Crouch.

“The MDB has removed Motala Heights’ voting station and the Kloof Tennis Club voting station remains in Ward 10. Barring any objections from other political parties or other and#034;interested partiesand#034;, it should stay this way for the final proposals.

“This is a perfect example of when people make their voice heard the bureaucrats listen, this decision is a direct result of the 632 people who attended the public meeting in Gillitts and the 1000-plus objections that the residents of Ward 10 sent to the MDB.and#034;
