HILLCREST High School recently celebrated 40 years of excellence in serving the community.

Our five pillars of academics, sport, culture, community service and leadership are aimed at giving pupils opportunities to develop and excel holistically.

We had an outstanding 2015 pass rate of 99,4%. More commendably, 82,4% of our matrics achieved a Bachelors pass.

Our curriculum and educational policies reflect our efforts to keep abreast of the changing needs and attitudes of society and are aimed at affording pupils the opportunity to become well-adjusted and well-equipped young adults, able to meet and cope with the challenges of our dynamic society.

As a public school, HHS is fortunate to have five full-time staff members dedicated to IT. This investment is indicative of the significant importance that HHS attaches to integrating technology to education.

Our balanced and co-educational approach helps pupils to be well adjusted to the real world, developing their skills and character – life is, after all, co-educational.

Our theme for 2016 is “Go For Gold”. Not everyone can come first, but everyone can aim to do their best and achieve their best results in everything that they do. We hope our pupils rise to this challenge during 2016 and achieve many personal golds. - Supplied
