SOCIAL Cause Shared Charity Shop is a collaboration between four charities - The Jes Foord Foundation, Bobbi Bear, Baby Hope House and the Kloof and Highway SPCA - who are sharing a charity shop in Pinetown to raise funds for their causes.

According to  Social Cause Shared Charity Shop spokesperson Barbara Laubscher , every day these NPOs face tragedy, abandonment, severe trauma, pain and suffering and they work extremely hard in the face of huge challenges to provide the support, comfort and care to restore the lives of women and children who have been raped, orphaned babies and unwanted, sick and abused animals.
“It is unfortunate that these NPOs have to battle to source the funding needed to focus on their core functions. Fund-raising has become more and more difficult and for this reason Social Cause Agency has facilitated the process for The Jes Foord Foundation, Bobbi Bear, Baby Hope House and the Kloof and Highway SPCA to share a charity shop in Pinetown to raise much needed funds.  “During these tough economic times, many people are unable to support causes close to their hearts in the form of cash.
“However we appeal to the community  to bring along their  donations of unwanted items including clothing, shoes, jewellery, hair accessories, ladies’ toiletries, creams, handbags, scarves, toys, cushions and cushion covers, pillows and pillow covers, curtains, household ornaments, kitchenware, CDs and DVDs, books and any other items in good condition – so that we can turn these items into the funds needed.

“Your support will make a difference in the lives of women who have been raped, children who have been raped, abused or neglected, orphaned children and abandoned, lost, injured and vulnerable animals.
“Any support you can offer would mean so much as we desperately need this shop to be a success for all charities involved.”

The shop can be found at shop number 10, Paradise Junction, 176 Underwood Road in Sarnia, Pinetown.
