THOMAS More College is a very exciting place to be.  Aside from our grown-up 3D printer used in the high school, staff have built a 3D printer with the senior primary pupils’ involvement.  Every SP child has been able to choose an object to represent their own personal “brand” that they have explored deeply using a blended curriculum.  They are now able to have a 3D printed keepsake of their journey.

This is a new way of blending clever curriculum, maker-space ideas and the four C’s of today’s education (communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity) with 3D printing that has made such an impact, that two of our staff were invited to present this journey at the Google Summit for Education in Cape Town recently.

Our children are learning how to imagine new possibilities, manipulate ideas and work with abstract concepts, to combine ideas to design a better future.

This gives them sought-after skills of being able to visualise. This also allows them to have flexibility and be adaptable to new problems and situations that their future jobs will entail.
