THIS spring East Coast Radio adds a new and exciting family friendly event to their calendar. The East Coast Radio Concert, Comedy and Craft in association with 1Life will be held on September 25 at the Durban Botanic Gardens.

The event, on a public holiday, will bring together a line-up of celebrated local musicians, popular comedians and some of the best craft food and drinks that the province has to offer.

Musicians who will be performing include Mango Groove, singing duo
Mafikizolo, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Gangs of Ballet.

The lineup of comedians includes Darren Maule, Rory Petzer, Barry Hilton, Carvin Goldstone and Chris Forrest.

East Coast Radio Concert, Comedy and Craft will boast two stages – one with the headline acts and another with local acoustic acts. It promises to be a great day out for the family complete with a food market, a craft beer, gin and whiskey area, a kid’s zone, open air art and drumming classes.

East Coast Radio GM BoniMchunu says: “We’re proud that East Coast Radio is rooted in the social fabric of KZN by hosting some of the province’s biggest and most loved events. We hope that this event, a fresh new idea, will be as well received as some of the station’s other events.”

Held the day after Heritage Day, the person who is the best dressed in traditional attire at East Coast Radio Concert, Comedy and Craft will win R50 000.

The fun day out starts at 10.30am and until the afternoon. Tickets are R150 for adults and children over 12, R100 for children between eight and 12 and children under eight are R20, available via Web Tickets. For more information visit www.ecr.co.za
