ON Tuesday night Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit responded to a collision along St Helier Road in Hillcrest.

Paramedics say that the vehicle was traveling along the M13 when it veered off the roadway, crashed down a twenty metre embankment before its twisted frame came to rest in St Helier Road.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the man sustained serious injuries. The patient was treated at the scene before he was transported to a Durban hospital under the care of a Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic,” Chris Botha Media Liaison Officer - Netcare 911.
