THE Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association (KHBA) are extremely grateful to Highbury Prep School for embarking on a project to install and maintain benches at St Margaret Road, which benefits the entire community.

Marge Mitchell of KHBA said that pupils placed the bench and planted the area two years ago.
It was the school’s effort to adopt that area of their own accord and were given permission to do so by the municipality.

“The whole project was sponsored and paid for by Highbury school.”

However, Mitchell said that after the Christmas holidays the area around the benches became overgrown.

“The teachers and pupils of Highbury school donned their work boots and gloves and got the area neat and tidy again,” said Mitchell.

“KHBA requests all businesses in the area to adopt the spot in front of their property and turn Hillcrest into a town that is noticeable by its special attention to beautification,” she added.
