GRADE 10 pupils Steven Watts and Erin van der Westhuizen represented Kloof High School on Monday, August 14 at a Best Speaker Competition.
Each presented a prepared five-minute speech on a topic of their choice as well as a two-minute unprepared speech.
Erin spoke about “What happens when you let adventure into your life”, which was inspired by her year on the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Programme, a scholarship awarded by AFS, South Africa.  Steven’s topic, “The Greatest Thought Ever” impressed the judges enough to earn him a place in the finals on August 24.

The management and staff wish him the best of luck and congratulated both pupils for their achievements.

In the Grade 8 Forum discussion two teams represented Kloof of Tuesday, August 15, and both did Kloof proud.
Special mention must be made of Tiffany Goodburn, who won the Best Speaker Award.
