Krantzkloof centre asks for help

2016-01-19 06:00

WORK on the upgrade of the Krantzkloof Interpretative Centre to convert it into the Krantzkloof Conference Centre started this week and renovations should be completed by the end of February.

Members are taking bookings now for March, onwards and can be done online at http://kknr.org.za/contact-us/booking-form/
This will be a significant investment on the part of Kloof Conservancy. Many community members have come on board to assist in this project. Architect Roger Colley has offered to design the alterations and manage the renovations on a pro bono basis.
Caron Mitchell will assist with the finishes, Mark Liptrot is making chandeliers from recycled glass, David Malcomess has offered to assist with the kitchen cupboards and Chris Dalzell is doing the gardens.
Conservancy chairman, Paolo Candotti, said they have appointed a contractor and are looking for support from any member who has a business in, or related to, the construction industry.

“More specifically we are looking for support and/or assistance with the following materials - three ceiling fans - without lights, double velvet paint (or equivalent) - 40 litres, ceramic tiles x 15 square metres, tile carpets x 90 square metres, electric lighting fittings and bathroom accessories - taps and fittings.
“We understand that these are tough times, but if anyone can assist it will be greatly appreciated. If you are able to assist, contact us via email info@kloofconservancy.org.za.”
