MAZARAT Animal Rescue, a no-kill rescue shelter for dogs and cats based in Waterfall, is holding a Women’s Day tea fund-raiser on Saturday,  August 5, from 10 am to noon at the Forest Hills Sports Club.
Tickets are R100 per person and include a welcome gift, snacks, drinks and two guest speakers. Emma Dunk, a local businesswoman and mother of two children, will be talking on ‘Striving for a work/life balance’ and life coach Clifford Moroney’s talk titled ‘The scale … friend or foe?’ will explore how the power of words can replace the power of the scale.

“We are a volunteer-based rescue and rely on community support, sponsorship and donations. In hosting this Women’s Day tea, our aim is to create awareness for the rescues looking for homes and raise much-needed funds to improve the rehabilitation, training and living conditions for the dogs and cats in our care,” said Carla Raaths, Mazarat Animal Rescue senior volunteer.

To book your tickets, please contact Carla at 084 491 1452 or e-mail maza
