MAZARAT Animal Rescue and Kennels (Mark) in Waterfall is a safe haven and shelter for rescued, abandoned or surrendered animals.
The committee recently held a monthly market to bring the community together and to raise much-needed funds for their kennels.

A group of volunteers and committee members work at Mark every weekend and assist in building and repairing kennels. Funds raised from the monthly market will be put towards dog and cat food, purchasing heavy duty storage bins and building a toilet and storage room.

ADT Security supported the last market on Sunday, 29 November by hosting a stand where they interacted with the community and offer security advice. ADT Security also offered free face painting for the children.

Lee Munsami, ADT Security community development manager for South Durban, said they are delighted to have been a part of this successful community initiative.

“ADT is committed to forming partnerships with the public and stakeholders. Well done to the Mazarat Animal Rescue team for their excellent efforts in making the market a huge success.”
