WEDNESDAY, August 9, marks National Womens' Day and commemorates the anniversary of the women’s march in 1956 to the Union Buildings.
St Benedict School pays tribute to women from all walks of life. The school acknowledges the important role of women , it honours the women who have helped to mould South Africa and those who continue to lead our country forward.
The school is also proud to annouce the new head of the school, Dr Barbara Bowley.
Bowley is a seasoned teacher and has a PhD in Philosophy of Education from UKZN.
She has contributed to a number of reputable schools in South Africa and Australia and is an avid sports person.
She was director of the middle school at Clifton College, and looks forward to sharing her ideas and vision for education with St Benedict School.
