AS the Stihl Sharks Trail Adventure gears up to celebrate its fourth edition on Sunday, 6 December, the Cell C Sharks have again thrown their weight behind the popular mountain biking and trail running event at Summerveld Estate, Shongweni.

With the squad well into their 2016 Super Rugby pre-season training, the men from Growthpoint Kings Park are looking forward to an early opportunity to bond with their fans ahead of the start of the campaign in February next year.

“The Stihl Sharks Trail Adventure has proven to be a hugely popular event that has a vibrant family feel to it,” said Sharks CEO, John Smit.

“We are delighted about our association with this successful event, which allows the Cell C Sharks the opportunity to interact with our supporters during a morning of great entertainment and fun.”

On the trails, adventure enthusiasts can look forward to being a part of the 40km, 20km, 10km or Sharkie Kids Ride MTB events or the 18km or 9km trail running races.

An exclusive Sunday staging of the Shongweni Farmers’ Market at the Summerveld Estate, and live on-stage entertainment is set to make a memorable family day.

The main attraction of the day will however, be the presence of the full Sharks squad who will be manning the water tables, cheering cyclists and trail runners across the finish line and getting behind the youngsters of the Sharkie Kids Ride.

Supporters can also look forward to a rare opportunity to rub shoulders with their rugby heroes later in the day during an autograph session while mascot, Sharkie, will pose for photos and add to the day’s festivities.

The Stihl Sharks Trail Adventure takes place at Summerveld Estate, Shongweni on Sunday, 6 December. Entries can be submitted via www.roag.co.za and more information can be found at www.sharkstrailadventure.co.za - Supplied.
