TAKE a walk for charity and join the Pick n Pay Hyper 5km Fun Run/Walk in honour of The Sunflower Fund on September 10.

Starting at 9.30 am, the race has an entry fee of R60 and includes a Sunflower Tope (Tube of Hope).

The race starts at the amphitheatre in front of Suncoast and goes along the boardwalk to the Durban Spa Vacation Resort and back.

Registration takes place at Pick n Pay Hyper in Durban North on September 2 and September 9 between 10 am and 5 pm, and at Suncoast Amphitheatre on September 9 from 1 pm to 3 pm, and September 10, from 7.30 am to 9 am.

The prize-giving event will take place directly after the race and five lucky draw prizes will be awarded.

People of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate as all the money raised will be used to educate people and register more blood-stem cell donors to give the hope of life to patients suffering from life-threatening chronic blood disorders such as leukaemia.

Come and join in the fun and help The Sunflower Fund reach its target of 3 000 participants.

The Sunflower Fund would like to thank Pick n Pay Hyper, Suncoast and Round Table Natal North Coast for making the event possible and for their ongoing support.

For more information, contact The Sunflower Fund Durban office at 031 266 1148 or e-mail Stephanie Berry at steph@sunflowerfund.org.za
