SEAGULL Travel is proud to present the inaugural Jeffreys Bay Xtreme (JBayX) Trail Run, which forms part of the 2015 JBay WinterFest.

The JBayX is unique in concept entailing three individual trail runs, all starting 12 hours apart and showcasing the best of the Jeffreys Bay area.

The total distance covered will be just over 60km and will surely test the mettle and endu-rance of all participants.

Day one kicks off at the Kabeljous Lagoon at 07:00 on July 11, seeing participants covering a distance of 20km. This will be followed with a 20km night trail run at Impala Ranch at 19:00 that same day. The rout will take runners under the majestic wind turbines of the Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm.

Day two will get underway only 12 hours later, seeing runners gearing up for a 20km run at the Happy Hippo Farm on the banks of the Seekoeiriver in Aston Bay at 07:00 on July 12.

Participants can either complete all three events and earn a coveted JBayX finisher shirt, or they can enter only one or two of the events.

A 4km fun Night Trail Run/ Walk will take place at Impala Ranch at 19:20 on July 12. The race is suitable for families, friends, supporters and first time trail runners.

The event is in aid of the Jeffreys Bay NSRI and a portion of the entry fee will be donated to them. Participants have the option of making an additional donation to this worthy cause.

Event venues will have ample entertainment, as well as food and drinks. For information or to enter, visit www.jbayx.co.za. Alternatively, contact Rieghard van Rensburg from NSRI at 071 896 6831. Late entries can be done at the NSRI Sea Rescue Station 37 MTN Tower in Diaz Road from 16:00 to 18:00 on July 10, as well as on the day of the race. Entries will close 60 minutes before the start of the event
