Knit Festival just a click and a threat away

GET those needles clicking for the third Nomvula’s Knit Festival and Competition in St Francis Bay from September 24 - 26.

The festival theme is Wearable Art and knitters can submit a piece of wearable art such as a sweater, shawl, slippers, even doggie attire – anything wearable. Anyone can enter at an entry fee of R30 per person. Rita Guillome, a lecturer in Knitwear and Design at NNMU in Port Elizabeth will be judging the competition.

Workshops will concentrate on mastering techniques and understanding form and design. The workshops will be hosted at various venues in St Francis Bay and the cost is R120 per session.

The festival is sponsored by SAMIL/South African Expressions and SAPROTEX with great prizes for competition entries.
