IT is that time of the year again when matriculants prepare to take on the biggest task of their school life - the final matric examinations.

It is a defining moment for the learners as they seek to overcome that one last hurdle before opening a whole new chapter of their young lives.

On behalf of the Kouga Council, I would like to wish the young ones all the best in their exams.

Please go ahead, knowing you have support from your family, friends, teachers and the rest of the community. Trust in the Almighty to give you strength to pull through.

Many of you may be quite anxious during this period. That is understandable due to the importance of the exams, but do draw strength from knowing that we are all thinking about you.

It is our duty as parents, teachers, family and friends to lend all the material and emotional support to our matriculants.

These young people are the future of our land and it is only right that we invest positively towards that future.

Our matrics have worked hard to get to where they are and they must continue to work harder until the last paper has been written.

In the process, some may not do as well as they would have liked and some may stumble and fail.

What matters, is knowing that you have given it your all and drawing valuable lessons from the whole experience which you may use to succeed the next time.

As the Kouga Council, we guarantee you unconditional support and we are proud that you have made it this far in life. With the right attitude, you can be anything you want to be. Don’t be afraid to dream big, the sky is the limit
