Woodlands Dairy, one of the largest manufacturers of UHT milk in South Africa has lent a helping hand to the SOS Children’s Village in Port Elizabeth by donating R40 000 to the project’s Schauderville suburb Village. The donation forms part of the Pour your heart out First Choice Custard competition which ran in 2014. Two lucky winners won a romantic Safari getaway of their choice, to the value of R40 000 each. A further R40 000 in aid of educational funding was set aside for a donation to the SOS Children’s Village. “Our vision is to be the most admired dairy company in Africa and we can only achieve this by satisfying the needs of all our stakeholders and community, ensuring growth and prosperity for everyone involved. We pride ourselves on our social responsibility initiatives geared towards communities in the Kouga region exclusively, so it is our pleasure to extend our helping hand to the Port Elizabeth SOS Village,” says Carmelia Miles, Social Responsibility and Marketing Co-Ordinator at Woodlands Dairy.
