Algoa Cares calling for charity golf day applications

2016-01-28 06:00

ALGOA Cares, Algoa FM’s Corporate Social Investment initiative, has opened applications this week to non-pro-fit organisations in the Eastern Cape to apply to be the beneficiaries to the two annual Algoa Cares Charity Golf Days hosted in Port Elizabeth and East London.

“We will only be doing one call for beneficiaries this year and will simultaneoulsy choose two beneficiaries in the Eastern Cape who will benefit from the funding of the two charity golf days,” says PR & CSI Manager at Algoa FM, Jennilee Peremore.

Non-profit organisations working in the fields of education, health and the environment that operate within the Eastern Cape should apply.

Information required in the proposal is: NPO number, brief history of organisation (successes), geographical areas the organisation supports, goal, purpose and objectives of the organisations, future plans as well as contactable telephone/cell and e-mail address of the project manager.

Charities must be sure to outline the specific project the funding would be used for, as all the requirements for the project will be purchased by the station.

“Needs for projects must be tangible, be sustainable; and projects must show longevity”, says Peremore.

The closing date for entries is Friday, February 5, 2016. Proposals can be sent to or delivered to the Algoa FM House at The Sun Boardwalk. For more information, contact Jennilee at 041 505 9497 or visit
