TURNING rocks into money sounds like magic.

But, in fact, Vlakteplaas Quarry just outside of Jeffreys Bay has been doing it for the last 10 years - and very successfully as well. Vlakteplaas Quarry, owned by Frank Lötter, started operations in 2006 on the farm Vlakteplaas 10km to the east of Jeffreys Bay and currently employs 18 personnel.

Over the last decade the business developed a reputation for providing the highest quality aggregates and decorative stone in the region and has become Kouga’s leading supplier of quality stone products.

Customers have the reassurance that this standard of excellence will continue for years to come. To celebrate the 10th year anniversary Vlakteplaas Quarry has come up with a fresh new logo to serve as an instant reminder of the company’s vision for the future.

Aggregates supplied by Vlakteplaas Quarry include crushed stone in all sizes (white and brown), gravel, fil-ling, washed sand, boulders and road building material for the residential, commercial, and industrial construction sector.

It is the region’s cornerstone supplier of other value-added building materials from on-site resident produ-cers such as concrete bricks, blocks, pavers, ready-mixed concrete, cobblestones and landscaping pebbles.

Customers will find Ubuntu Bricks, producing nine different products, CUB3 Concrete (ready mix concrete), Palatzzo Cobblestone, Bay Pebbles (landscaping pebbles) and JMC Civils (vibracrete walls) all on the same site.

New manufacturers of concrete products are welcome to contact them for on-site producing. Resident producers can deliver at a lower cost due to the saving on transport.

Thanks to the diligence and hard work of our team members working in sales, admin, quality control, safety, dispatch, operations, maintenance and weighbridge, Vlakteplaas Quarry has become an industry-leading producer of stone. We leverage the experience of our outstanding people to produce the highest quality products, and support the success of our customers,” says Schalk Deysel, Manager of Vlakteplaas Quarry.

“A big thank you to all our clients for your continuous support throughout the last 10 years and for contributing to the success of our business. We are excited and ready as ever for the next 10 years, bringing you the best service and a product range to satisfy all your needs in stone and concrete.”
