Enter now for Miss Matric Dance

2017-09-07 06:00

ENTER now for the annual Miss Matric Dance Competition.

Local matric girls who attended their matric dance this year can now start entering our competition and stand a chance to win fabulous prizes.

This year we are again looking for the matric girl who has the complete look to become our next Miss Matric Dance. Entrants will be judged on their overall look – including the dress, hair, make-up and accessories – so be sure to send a photo where the judges can clearly get the complete picture.

A panel of judges will choose nine (9) finalists once entries have closed. The judges will also choose 10 wildcard entries and the public will have to vote for their favourite wild card, who will make up the 10th finalist for this year’s Miss Matric Dance.

Ernst Ohlhoff, local JBay photographer with 18 years’ experience as a wedding photographer and regular front page photo contributor to the Kouga Express, truly believes that every woman is beautiful and should be appreciated in her own unique way. He decided to partner with Kouga Express and make available a special opportunity to entrants of the Miss Matric Dance competition to enter the best photo they can, at a more affordable cost.

From today until entries close on October 31, Ernst is offering a professional 20-minute photo studio session to entrants for the price of R150 per entrant. The photo studio sessions will take place every second week (depending on response and demand) at times that suit the entrants (after school, evenings and Saturday mornings) at First Light, in Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay (across from Jolly Dolphin).

For a total cost of R150 per person, entrants will receive three photos to choose from for their entry into the contest. Entrants must be photographed in their matric farewell dress as they attended (or will still attend) their own matric farewell school dance.
