Front Page Christmas Baby: Only days left to enter

THE Kouga Express is once again looking for a baby to grace the front page of the last edition of the year – which will be published on Thursday, December 22.

The annual Kouga Express Christmas Baby Competition is aimed at making the day even more special for babies who are celebrating their first Christmas.

Apart from the honour of gracing our last front page of the year, the winning baby will also receive a photoshoot and images on a disk from Beautique Photography at Fountains Mall in Jeffreys Bay.

This is not all. The winner will receive a R500 Fountains Mall voucher. The winner will also receive a set of two Babe-Eeze teething necklaces valued at R250, as well as a Babe-Eeze teething bib valued at R149.

The winning baby will furthermore receive a Woodlands Dairy hamper.

The runner-up will receive a R300 Fountains Mall voucher and a Woodlands Dairy hamper.

The second runner-up will crawl away with R200 Fountains Mall voucher and a Woodlands Dairy hamper.

Parents must enter their babies via our social media platforms.

There are three platforms to choose from.

At the top of our Facebook page, click on the Christmas Baby tab which will take you to the entry form where you can upload your baby’s photo and enter all the details.

Alternatively, enter on

Twitter – @KougaExpress

Submit your photo via Twitter; include all the necessary info and then tag @KougaExpress and #KougaBaby2016.

Instagram – ep_media24

2) Upload your photo and include all the necessary info.

3)Include #KougaBaby2016 in your post.

Only online entries will be accepted – no photos may be emailed, posted or dropped off at our office. No photos to be posted on our Facebook timeline.

The following information must be included:

  • Name and surname of the baby
  • Date of birth (eg: 2016-10-30)
  • Gender
  • Suburb you live in.

Entries which do not have this information, will not be considered.

How the competition will work

The closing date for entries is 16:00 on Wednesday, November 30.

Entry photos need not have a Christmas theme, and baby’s face must be clearly visible. Only babies living in Kouga and Koukamma are allowed to enter. All the rules of the competition can be viewed on our Facebook page or our website at

The top 10 finalists will be announced on our Facebook page and in the Kouga Express newspaper on Thursday, December 15.

The winner of the competition will be rephotographed by Beautique Photography and must be available between December 1 and 9 for the photo session.

All the entries received will be published on our facebook page in photo galleries.
