A kiddies’ lumo trail run, mountain biking, kites colouring the sky, music and face painting . . . it is all happening at the Hub at Kabeljous this July.

Forming part of the JBay WinterFest, hundreds of colourful kites - big and small - will fill the sky on July 15. A kids’ lumo trail run and a kids’ cycle race will light up the night on July 15, while a night market will add to the festivities.

The JBay Windfarm MTB Classic will pe-dal off the action at the Hub at 07:30 on July 16. The race consists of three distances: 25km, 50km and 85km. The action does not stop here. Also taking place at the Hub is the fishing skins competition where anglers can win R3 500 per hour for the biggest fish caught.

There will also be a kite display and a day market.

Sunday, July 18 kicks off with a kite competition for children, while anglers will compete for a Nissan Bakkie at the edible fishing competition from 07:30 - 12:30.

Other attractions include a beer tent, big screen rugby and music. Children can learn how to make a kite, play in a tent with balloons, have their faces painted or have fun at the fun fair and pony rides.
