J-Bay Radio Flyers to hold static display

2017-02-16 06:01

THE J-Bay Radio Flyers, registered with the South African Model Aircraft Association, will hold a static display at Fountains Mall from 09:00 to 14:00 on Saturday, February 25.

The aim is to expose the general public to an awesome hobby and a nationally recognized sport for which enthusiasts can earn national colours.

The display will consist of medium sized radio controlled aircrafts, as well as an insight into what it takes to build one of these models (a work in progress) model will be on site for viewing).

On display will be the traditional internal combustion powered aircraft, as well as electrically powered craft.

Those interested in the hobby are welcome to interact with the club members, who will be present on the day to answer any questions.

The club will hold its first Fun Fly for 2017 at its own airfield on February 26. The airfield is situated on the gravel road that passes the Vlakteplaas quarry and crusher plant off the R102.
