CLEAR your calendar for the rest of April.

The month is filled to the brim with sporting action that will entertain fitness fanatics and those that enjoy a gentle stroll - no matter their age. Sporting fun includes bike races, fun runs and golf tournaments.

Peddle Power

In the world of biking, riders can tackle the epic Thornhill100, a road race that offers a category for those mountains bikers, set to cycle from the Thornhill Hotel on April 17.

The event consists of a 100km, 70km and 35km race, as well as a kiddies’ race. All the races, except the kiddies’ race, will start at the Thornhill Hotel. The 100km race will see cyclists continue to Jeffreys Bay and Humansdorp all along the R102, before making their way to Hankey and Loerie, and back to Thornhill. Those competing in the 70km race will ride along parts of the Gamtoos River, making their way to Loerie and onwards to Thornhill, while the 35km race will have contestants heading down to the Gamtoos River and into Loerie before cycling back to Thornhill.

Enter online at www.thornhill100.co.za. Online entries close on April 12. Late registrations will be accepted on the day and will include a R50 late entry fee.

Prize money to the value of R20 000 and impressive finishers’ medals will be up for grabs. There will also be various lucky draws on the day.
