THIS Easter the fun will find you.

The variety of activities in Kouga this Easter weekend will keep young and old bustling - and some parents ‘sane’.

Ranging from festivals to divas, and sporting activities to triathlons, there will be no shortage of entertainment over the next few days. One thing is certain this weekend, the beach is the place to be.

Festival

Kicking off the festivities is a cultural and arts festival at Dolphin Beach from March 25 to 27. Organised by the Jeffreys Bay Tourism Organisation (KLTO), the festival promises an exciting blend of food, music, sports and activities.

“The line-up will have something for everyone,” says KLTO chairperson Deon Freemantle.

Food-lovers can enjoy a night market on March 25, while avid shoppers will browse through the stalls on March 26.

The festival will come to an end with a church service on the beach on the Sunday.

A section of Diaz Road - between the Shell Museum and Jé Vista - will be closed for the festival.

For more information regarding the festival, contact Deon Freemantle at 083 457 3415.

Beach Sport

An exciting sport line-up will add to the Easter fun from March 25 to 28.

Touch Rugby will take place on the beach on March 25. The entry fee is R90 per team and prize money of R1 800 is up for grabs. For more information, contact 078 412 9667.

The Saturday will see volleyball teams battling it out on the sand. The entry fee is R20 per team and the winning team will walk away with R1 200. For more information, call 083 441 1721.

Various kids’ games including dunk-a-cup, flag race and tug-of-war will be held on March 27. For more information, phone 082 824 3124.

On March 28, soccer teams will battle it out for a total prize of R3 300. The entry fee is R90 per team. For more information, contact 083 870 3232.

Registration is from 08:00 to 09:00 and the captains’ briefing will be at 09:15. All the games start at 09:30 and end at 15:00. The prize-giving is at 16:00.

The fun does not stop there.

Family Fun Day
