Die eerste krieketspan van die Mentors J-Bay Kriekeketklub het die afgelope Sondag die BASF Welcome Krieketklub met 10 lopies op hul tuisgrond gewen.

Mentors het eerste gekolf en 159 lopies aangeteken. Die vernuftige kolfwerk van Willie Koertzen (31 lopies), Corn van der Watt (30), Stefnus Schoeman (25), en Morné Schutz (22) het tot die oorwinning bygedra.

BASF Welcome het met 149 lopies die aftog geblaas.

Abe Smit (3 vir 25) en CJ Vlok (3 vir 46) het die wedstryd vir Mentors gewen.

Smit en Vlok is as die spelers van die wedstryd aangewys.

Mentors se eerste span speel die naweek tuis teen He-lenvale, terwyl hul tweede span tuis teen Despatch kragte meet. Die derde span kom in Jeffreysbaai teen Bloemendal te staan en die vierde span speel teen KwNobuhle op hul tuisgrond.
