METICULOUS art, pink tipple, fresh flowers and intriguing company make for a great Friday afternoon.

If a local project benefits from the proceeds, it is picture perfect.

Must Love Flowers Floral Studio at the JBay Surf Village teamed up with Musgrave Gin to host Eastern Cape photographer Jean Goldstone for a silent auction of her impeccable Botanical Collection.

The event was a sensory fest of fragrance, aroma and zest with 11 signature botanical flavours of the gin, a profusion of flowers and the artwork.

Jean believes in giving back to local community. Three prints were auctioned for the JBay Recycling Project, which also received 10% of other proceeds.

As a wife, mom and granny who has been living here for years, Jean captures wildlife and seascapes with her lens. This collection included cacti and succulents pictured with minute detail.

Before launching the Botanical Collection, Jean worked for six months to ensure picture perfect prints of each plant on display. Only ten prints of a photograph are ever available. Jean laboured for three weeks to capture the pink moon cactus in immaculate lighting and shadow.

She is working on her next project to be on display at the art gallery in Zimbabwe.
