’n Bekende radio-omroeper van ’n plaaslike radiostasie in Humansdorp is op borgtog van R500 vrygelaat nadat hy glo ’n 18-jarige straatkind aangerand het. 

Volgens polisiewoordvoerder, kaptein Gerda Swart, het die beweerde insident op 20 Augustus om 18:15 binne ’n gebou in Voortrekkerstraat, Humansdorp plaasgevind. Die straatkind wou na bewering die omroeper se skootrekenaar steel.

“Die slagoffer het veelvuldige krapmerke aan albei kante van sy nek opgedoen en is in die hospitaal opgeneem,” sê Swart. 

Daar was aanvanklik ’n saak van poging tot moord geopen, maar was later in die hof verander na ’n klag van aanranding met die doel om ernstig te beseer. 

Die verdagte het op 26 Augustus in die hof in Humansdorp verskyn. 

Die saak is tot 22 September 2016 uitgestel.
