DURING the past week the Shoprite Group supported local disaster management team in their relentless quest to get runaway fires in St Francis Bay and surrounding areas under control.

This was done by means of donations and other forms of assis-tance.

Shoprite in Humansdorp dona-ted products to the fire fighters at Cape St. Francis, worth more than R3 000. The donation included eyes drops, vaseline, bottled water, energy drinks, protein and chocolate bars, bananas, apples, sandwiches, ice and aftersun lotion.

The Shoprite Group is committed to supporting and strengthening all the local communities in which it trades, and has a long history of reaching out to communities when impacted by disaster.
