St Francis takes on Greenwood Bay

ST Francis College test their mettle against that of Greenwood Bay College of Plettenberg Bay during their annual sport tournament.

Kicking off the tournament at Greenwood in February this year, u.11 and u.13 learners competed in cricket, beach volleyball and swimming.

This was followed by soccer, netball and hockey matches at St Francis at the beginning of June.

The u.11 St Francis soccer boys beat Greenwood 3 - 0, while the u.13 boys drew 2 - 2 in a nail-biting match. The u.11 netball players lost 5 - 8, while the u.13 players lost 0 - 8.

The St Francis girls’ hockey team beat Greenwood by 5 goals to 3, after trailing 1 - 2 at a stage. The St Francis boys’ hockey team rallied together in a clinical second half display, winning 5 - 2.
