Support Santa Shoebox project

2016-09-15 06:00

FOR 100 000 underprivileged children Christmas will be coming in October this year.

Thanks to the annual Santa shoebox project, children countrywide will be awaiting the arrival of their personal shoebox filled with goodies galore.

The Santa shoebox initiative, which started in 2006, has already distributed over 500 000 shoebox gifts to children, aged 0 to 18.

Ordinary cardboard shoe boxes have to be beautifully wrapped and decorated to add a thought of personal endearment for these children.

In its 10th-year existence, the drop off point in Kouga is at St Francis Bay.

The shoeboxes will be distributed on October 28 and 29 to schools in Gamtoos Valley, Jeffreys Bay, Humansdorp and St Francis Bay.

The Santa Shoebox website, www.santashoebox.org.za, has been live since September 1 and those who are eager to support this worthy project, can visit the site for more information.

Alternatively, contact Colleen Mutch at 083 628 2176 or email colleenmutch@santashoebox.org.za.
