PUT on your walking shoes, leash up your best four-legged friend, and be ready to smooch your pooch for a ‘furry’ good cause next Saturday.

Jeffreys Bay Animals in Need will hold a 5km Fun Run/ Walk at Main Beach in Jeffreys Bay at 09:00 on June 25 in aid of animals in need.

Attendees are welcome to bring their furry friends along. Dogs that should best be avoided, will be wearing a yellow ribbon.

There will also be a smooch-a-pooch booth at the end of the fun run/ walk, where animal lovers will have the opportunity to smooch their canine or feline friend for a small donation.

“We are doing it for the love of animals. We want to make a diffe-rence,” says event organiser Ciske Vorster.

The entry fee is a bag of dog or cat food (preferably small pellets) or blankets. All proceeds will be donated to various animal welfare organisations in the region.

Various lucky draw prizes from Je’Vista Social Café, InFood Bakery and Deli Restaurant, SkinDeep Health and Beauty, Oasis, The Bay Pasta Co, Marina Wharf, DD Deligtz, Gossip Girl, Time Out Pub and Grill, and Naturally K9 and Feline will be up for grabs.

For more information, contact Suzanne Kruger at 079 506 8748 or Ciske Vorster at 071 328 0598.
