College teams place well in JSE Challenge

THREE teams from Maritzburg College were placed in the JSE Schools Challenge this year. The teams played the Equity game where they competed against more than 500 teams, nationally.

College was the only school to have three teams placed in the top five and the boys are to be congratulated on their superb performance in the challenge.

Team prizes were Satrix investments and the teams were invited to attend the awards ceremony at the JSE, with their teacher Jean van Heeswijk­, who represented the Maritzburg College economics department.

Super Traders Reloaded were placed fifth. Team members were Mohamed Asmall (team leader), Matthew Greatwood, Mayuran Padayachi and Ryan Hodgson.

Classic Traders were placed third. The leader was Rajvir Rajaram. The remaining team members were Damian Emmanuel, Salmaan Parak and Xolisa Madikizela.

Alliance Traders led by Zafar Moosa­, took second place. Husain Kassim, Mohamed Jooma and Muhammad Essa made up the rest of the team. - Supplied.
