ENTRIES are now open for rounds four, five and six of the 2015 BMX National Age Group (Nag) Championship Series that will take place at Alexandra Park on 4 and 5 July.

The first three legs of the series took place at the Germiston BMX Club in Delville, Gauteng in April. After delivering superb results from these rounds, Connor Terblanche (Alrode BMX Club) is looking forward to racing the next three.

“I will be in Pietermaritzburg to race. I have ridden there before, but not on the new track, so I am looking forward to that,” he said.

Connor (13) competes in the 13-14 Expert category and has numerous accolades to his name, including world number three in 12 Under Cruiser Men (24”) UCI World Championships in Rotterdam last year, and 2010 2012 and 2013 National BMX Champion, to name a few.

The track in Pietermaritzburg is new to the young riders. “We have ridden in Durban before, but never in Pietermaritzburg. I know it is quite big and so will prove to be quite challenging, but again it’s a new experience and new lessons,” said BMX coach, Darryn Stowe.

Entries close on Tuesday 30 June and no late entries will be accepted. - Supplied.
