MORE artists are to share the stage at the fund-raising Themba Njilo Festival on 31 October at the Alexandra Park.

Themba Njilo Foundation marketing manager Thula Mhlophe said entertainment lovers can expect additional entertainment as a big screen has also been added for the Soweto derby when Orlando Pirates will play0 Kaizer Chiefs.

“We are calling people to come in their numbers to support this good initiative which is aimed at bettering the lives of the needy. We have added a lot of artists which appeal to both the youth and the old.”

The festival was founded four years ago in a bid to improve the lives of the impoverished around the province. It is sponsored by the Themba Njilo Foundation, Echo, Uhologo Productions and others.

Artists include Ndoda Maphumulo, Nathi and Nkanyiso, Mvuselelo Buthelezi, Nelly ka Dlamini, Dumi Mkokstad, Mthokozisi Zakwe, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Njabulo Mkhize, Abasindisi, Gah Ndlela, Melusi Ndimande, Tzozo, Thobekile, Bethusile Mcinga, Sgwili, Afro soul, Thokozani Langa, Bahubhe, Abazala , Durban Nyts and deejays Merlon, Happy Girl, Sox, Nzwiri, Mondli Ngcobo, T-Roxta and Invaders.

Gates open at 10 am. Tickets are R100 from Computicket and R120 at the door.
