HILTON College Old Boy, Leon Grové, will take up his position as St Nicholas Diocesan High principal at the beginning of the next school term.

Grové has been teaching at St Nicholas since 2012 and was appointed deputy principal in January.

He says he pledges to do “everything in his power” to ensure that St Nicholas pupils receive an education that “promotes Christian values, gives them a firm academic foundation for a well-balanced intellectual life, and nurtures the children’s spiritual, physical and emotional growth in order to develop their full potential”.

“I base my life on strong Christian values and believe in the importance of family as [my family] are my pride and joy and I thus understand the responsibility and trust that parents of St Nicholas have placed in our hands by allowing their children to be schooled at St Nicholas Diocesan School.”

Grové has been a lecturer at the Durban University of Technology, Varsity College and Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University
