Slipper Day - make dreams come true

2015-07-29 06:00

THIS year Reach For A Dream will activate its annual Slipper Day campaign on Friday, 7 August.

You can take part in the campaign by wearing your slippers to work, school or the mall, all in aid of helping children who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.

You can help a child’s dream come true by buying your R10 sticker from a Wimpy from now until 7 August and wearing your slippers on Slipper Day.

“Last year stickers sold through Wimpy outlets resulted in just over R1,1 million in funds for Reach For A Dream, and this year we would like to sell more stickers to further aid this non-profit organisation,” said Karabo Morudu, Wimpy brand manager.

Reach For A Dream has been around for 27 years and has dedicated itself to making dreams come true. No dream is too small or too big and ranges from children wanting to see the ocean for the first time, taking a drive in a Ferrari, a flight in a helicopter, becoming a doctor for the day to visiting Disney World.
