LA Music Dell’Italianio – A Gala Opera Concert will take place at the Tatham Art Gallery at 7.30pm on Monday, 14 December.

The concert features four of South Africa’s most acclaimed voices, Beverly Chiat, Violina Anguelov, Njabulo Madlala and Sipho Fubesi, in celebration of Italian language and culture abroad.

The concert will be hosted by the Italian Consulate General of Johannesburg and the Italian Institute of Culture, in collaboration with the Friends of the Tatham Art Gallery (Fotag) and Christopher Duigan’s Music Revival.

The programme, which also includes music by Maritzburg pianist, Duigan, boasts a feast of Italian operatic highlights, duets and ensembles from La Boheme, Barber of Seville, La Traviata and other operas.

There will also be music by Leonvavllo, Puccini, Mozart and Verdi, and an element of seasonal Christmas music.

Entrance to the concerts is free, but booking is essential. To book for the performance at the gallery in Chief Albert Luthuli Street email booking@musicrevival.co.za or book at the Tatham Art Gallery Shop at 033 392 2828 (between 10am and 4pm. Tuesday to Friday only). - Supplied.
