PIETERMARITZBURG artist Alex Mikhail will host a show - The Non-conformist Turn Up - at the Basement PMB Upper Level on September 16 to raise funds for JC Joshua Pre-Primary School in Eastwood, a school that gets no funding from government.

The school, he said, relies solely on fees from parents for operating costs.

Once Mikhail has recovered costs for putting the show together, the proceeds will be given to the school.

The show will include two Durban performers Ky and Lihno, who alongside Mikhail, form AdHd, an acronym that stands for “artists demonstrating harmonious diver- sity”.

“There is so much more that needs to be done. We will be doing more work with other organisations in the future,” Mikhail said. The show is endorsed by Rise Up Ministries Pastor Liesel Coles - known as Pastor Lee - because it is for a charitable purpose.

“I am supporting this event because it is being held for an NGO,” Pastor Lee said.

Tickets are already on sale.

For more information on where to buy tickets, contact Mikhail on 081 373 3874.

There will be prizes to be won at the show.
