WHEN McDonald’s came knocking on Karou Charou’s door asking him to be the face of its new burger campaign, he knew his brand was big and known country-wide.

The spicy burger advertising campaign saw Charou feature in two TV commercials, street billboards, cinema adverts and a social media campaign.

Charou has, over the past six years, amassed an extensive following across the country and his fan base extends from children as young as three to senior citizens in their eighties.

Hot & Spicy will see the “Turbanned One” perform some of his best material he done over the years. He will take on Indian weddings and try to explain why Indians cannot swim and do not play rugby. He introduces his own TV channel and Logie Naidoo makes a guest appearance and Karou will leave you gob smacked with his mental telepathy stunt.

With so many children eager to see Charou in action he has an entire segment dedicated to them.

Hot & Spicy is a 120-minute non-stop roller coaster of laughs for the family to be held at the Blind and Deaf Society Hall in Northdale on 5 February.

Tickets cost R80 for adults and R50 for children under 10 and senior citizens. Tickets available from partner and sponsor Medikist Pharmacy on Chota Motala Drive at
