POLICE are still investigating the murder of 10-year-old Ayabonga Ngobese, who was found dead by his family at their home at Imbali recently.

According to a report in The Witness, the child had been shot in the chest in what seemed to be a home invasion and robbery.

Days later the newspaper reported that police obtained CCTV footage which could assist in the investigation of his murder.

Plessislaer SAPS spokesperson, Captain Musa Ntombela said the footage “might only show the surrounding area of the deceased’s family home”, not the actual crime. “But we will try to use it to our advantage,” he said. - Echo reporter
