ST Anne’s Enviro Club girls once again opened their hearts to enrich the lives of others and bartered their entire 2016 recyclable waste collection for a classroom of green desks, which they donated to a fellow recycling school, Fezokuhle Primary in Imbali.

Teacher in charge, Jennifer Forrest, said they felt blessed to help the school.

Forrest and her pupils were warmly welcomed by the principal, J.K. Dladla, his staff and pupils.

Dladla said the desks would beautify the classroom and be stronger and safer for pupils to use.

The desks, made from un-recyclable materials, are assembled at the Wildlands Recycling Depot in Howick.

St Anne’s has consistently been one of Wildlands top recycling schools and participates in many of the sustainable schools initiatives offered by Wildlands, in partnership with Nedbank.
