e-Waste Collection Day

2015-10-07 06:00

THE annual Jeffares andamp; Green’s e-Waste Collection Day will take place at Liberty Midlands Mall on 9 October from 9am to 2pm.

Every year the company calls for the public to bring their unwanted electronic waste at collection points set up at designated collection areas throughout the country in order for it to be correctly disposed of.

E-waste is any unwanted electrical or electronic equipment powered by either batteries or electricity such as computers, TVs, VCRs and DVD players, consumer electronics, kettles, printers, fax machines, cellphones, toasters, microwares or direct parts thereof.

All e-waste received on the day will, in accordance with its condition, be either repaired, refurbished, dismantled or safely disposed of and at all times handled according to integrated waste management principles and in the most environmentally safe manner.
