MARITZBURG, are you ready? Fancy yourself a superhero and wanting a reason to shine? The most colourful event in town, the second The Color Run is heading your way on October 15 with the start and finish at Epworth School. Entries are open for this year’s event.

Following the success of The Color Run Martizburg’s inaugural event in 2016, 2017 brings The Superhero Tour to the city.

The Color Run and its headline sponsor, Capitec Bank, will bring something more than a single day’s worth of fun to its fans. The Superhero Tour aims to underpin the journey towards ongoing personal fulfilment and inner strength, because it’s time we believe in the superhero in everyone of us.

DIARISE:

Even better, Color runners have a chance of winning an opportunity to wrestle rainbows under the Eiffel Tower. The superhero of the year will get their favourite person, and jet off to The Color Run in Paris in 2018. To enter, tag a pic of you being a superhero with #TCRHero and share on the main The Color Run South Africa Facebook page with your friends.

As the single largest event series in the world, The Color Run is presented in over 30 countries worldwide. Join the more than 4 000 000 global participants who have run, hopped, skipped and danced their way through a five-kilometre untimed course.

Color runners are doused from head to toe in different colours at each kilometre.

The Superhero Tour acknowledges the individual, and all the characteristics that define us as heroes, and it applauds those nearest and dearest to us, and those further afield who inspire and offer themselves as role models.

“The Superhero Tour is inspiring participants to celebrate themselves, and those who have mentored, encouraged, and positively influenced them,” says Trevor Latimer, national event co-ordinator of The Color Run SA.

“The Color Run is about living better in ways that enrich you, through being healthy, happy, self-expression, and giving back,” says Francois Viviers, Exec: Marketing and Communications at Capitec Bank.

“These principles align with Capitec Bank’s ethos, and as such Capitec is continuing to give back to communities across the country by donating R10 of every ticket sold in 2017 to our education upliftment programme.

“We are excited to get colourful with Maritzburg, and to brighten not only Color runners, but the community too,” says Viviers. - Supplied.
