Extra, extra - read all about it

IT’S still the same Maritzburg Fever you know and love, but we’ve added a few exciting elements to the paper to give you, the reader and advertiser, more to look forward to.

When I moved from the South Coast to Pietermaritzburg, it was you - the people of Maritzburg, who helped me settle in rather smoothly by welcoming me with warm hospitality and aiding me in getting to know the place and the publication better.

One thing was for sure – everyone I met said they loved the Fever.

The positive news and the funky layout always topped the list of compliments, which is why we have decided to keep those elements on pages two and three.

Pages four and five are where you will find stories on pressing community issues. Here you will be kept updated on council news, accidents, what residents are up in arms about, and the like.

The paper still features socials, entertainment and up-coming events, sport and the ever-so-popular school news page.

We’ve introduced a leisure page and added a crossword and Sudoku puzzle which each carries a prize of a R75 voucher for Jayz Grill. The Fever will also carry the “Proudly Pietermaritzburg” photographic competition - read more on page 12.

There will be more competitions so make sure you get a copy of your favourite paper, the Fever, every Wednesday.

And remember, you have to be in it to win it. A total of 8 000 copies will be inserted into the subscriber copies of The Witness to give our advertisers added value, cove- ring mainly Northdale and Raisethorpe areas.

There are also five traffic-light distribution points - New England-Ridge Road, Sanctury Road, Peter Kirschoff-Victoria roads, Bombay-Chota Motala and Market-Washington. intersections. Email letters and contributions to editorial@pmbfever.co.za
