Guidelines for Face of KZN contestants

2016-04-27 06:00

ASPIRING models who want to enter the Face of KZN model search contest must be South Africans aged between 18 and 35, must not be engaged, married or pregnant, and must be at school, college or university and be willing to do voluntary work.

To some these may be strict rules, but the organiser and founder of the Face of KZN Model Search Bengs Nkosi said they simply adhere to international modelling standards of Miss South Africa and Miss World.

“We want to develop the youth and teach them that they can do something on their own. They don’t have to be married to be champions of their dreams.

“The two winners of the model search contest will be ambassadors for the youth in KZN and it would not make sense to have someone who is pregnant to motivate the youth.

“The ambassadors will have a year packed with responsibilities as they will be travelling to different parts of KZN. They will be visiting youth centres and motivating them to stay away from social ills as these hinder them from achieving their dreams.

“It is important for the aspiring contestants and winners to be well disciplined. It goes without saying that their visits involve a lot of money and planning,” explained Nkosi.

The closing date for entries is 30 June and the main event will take place on 3 September at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall.

Those who would like to enter need to send their name, surname, age, cellphone number, waist size, height measurements, shoe size eye colour, hair colour and three recent head and shoulder photos, full length photos and photos showing them wearing swimwear via Whats- App to 073 356 3737.
