TO round off the recent Liberty Midland’s Mall Food Festival, Aurora Dezigns gave away a kitchen makeover to the value of R80 000 to one lucky shopper.

The competition ran for the duration of the food festival, from 29 September to 2 October.

The winner, Yuvraj Kailas from Northdale received his prize voucher recently at the Liberty Midlands Mall. Kailas said he entered the competition a week prior to the closing date, encouraged by his wife.

“I submitted three SMSes on 24 September and was shocked when I got the call to say I had won. I have never won anything before so I was really happy.”

Aurora Dezigns and Liberty Midlands Mall livened up the food festival this year and after much deliberation and many meetings of brainstorming, it was agreed upon that Aurora Dezigns would sponsor a kitchen makeover to the value of R80 000, to be given away by Liberty Midlands Mall at the 2016 Food festival.

Save Hyper also joined forces with Aurora Dezigns by sponsoring an appliance voucher to the value of R5 000.

Aurora Dezigns, an established interior design company that specialises in manufacturing contemporary kitchen and built-in cupboards designs, also sponsored a state-of-the- art, fully equipped demo kitchen that was used by celebrity KZN chefs for their culinary demonstrations at the food festival. The demo kitchen will be donated to a charity in the city.

The R5 000 gift card for kitchen accessories, sponsored by Save Hyper, was won by Thabile Lukhozi.

KPMG audited the selection of the winners. After a random selection and thorough audit, a first-prize and second-prize winner were selected.
