Man hit by train, in critical condition

A MAN was critically injured on Saturday morning when he was knocked over by a train at the Umlaas Train Station in Pietermaritzburg.

ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at 11.20am to find a man lying next to the train tracks.

Paramedics assessed the man and found he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with several, advanced life support interventions and was transported to Edendale Hospital for urgent care.
