TWO Pietermaritzburg models - Simiso Mlangeni and Noluthando Dlamini - are finalists in the Mr and Miss uShaka Marine World 2017 competition.

The pageant takes place on October 21, at uShaka Marine World.

The pair needs the most number of likes on the uShaka Marine World’s Facebook page to increase their chance of winning and ask the community for their support.

They also need sponsorship of R1 500 each by October 14 to increase their chance of winning.

“I believe we deserve the sponsorship because we are the only two models representing Pietermaritzburg and we are determined to bring back the Mr and Miss crowns to the City of Choice,”
Mlangeni said.

Dlamini said the fact that she won this year’s Miss Greater Edendale Mall crown is proof that she, with the backing of locals, can win.

The public has until October 18, to place their votes.

Winners will be selected based on the most likes received on their photo until October 18 at 12pm.

Each category winner will receive R2 500 and will be notified, if they win, on October 20, via the uShaka Facebook page.

Contestants may share their own image posted by the uShaka Marine World Facebook page to garner more votes.

Winners will be notified via the uShaka Marine World Facebook page or in a manner deemed appropriate by uShaka Marine World.
